Trident - Status Updates

 Monitor’s Certificate Filed
On June 30, 2010 the Monitor filed its certificate with the Court certifying that all conditions precedent set out in section 5.01 of the Plan have been satisfied or waived in accordance to the Plan and that the Plan is capable of being implemented forthwith.
 
 
 Sanctioning of Plan
On Friday June 18, 2010 the Court granted an Order approving the sanctioning of the Plan
 
 
 Plan of Arrangement Approved by Creditors
The Amended Plan of Arrangement and Compromise was approved by the requisite majorities of creditors at the Meeting of Creditors held June 16, 2010. The Applicant will be seeking Court sanction of the Plan at a hearing scheduled for June 18, 2010.

 September 8, 2009 – Initial Status Update
On September 8, 2009, Trident Exploration Corp. ULC, Fort Energy Corp. ULC, Fenergy Corp. ULC, 981384 Alberta Ltd., 981405 Alberta Ltd., 981422 Alberta Ltd., Trident Resources Corp., Trident CBM Corp., Aurora Energy LLC, Nexgen Energy Canada, Inc. and Trident USA Corp. (collectively, “Trident” or the “Applicants”) sought and obtained an Initial Order (the “Initial Order”) under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (the “CCAA”). Pursuant to the Initial Order, FTI Consulting Canada ULC (“FTI” or the “Monitor”) has been appointed Monitor. The Initial Order also provides for a stay of proceedings against the Applicants, which stay expires October 7, 2009, unless otherwise ordered by the Court.
