If you are an employee enquiring about your WEPPA claim, please note that the Receiver is continuing to work with HRSDC (or Service Canada) to finalize the claims submitted.

Accrued wages up to February 21, 2012 will be paid in the next payroll cycle (estimated date: Friday, March 2, 2012).

Accrued vacation up to February 21, 2012 will not be paid in the next payroll cycle (estimated date: Friday, March 2, 2012). The Receiver is in the process of reviewing accrued vacation calculations and aims to pay it as soon as possible.

RoEs will be available online. Once accrued vacation has been finalized, revised RoEs will be available online. Revised RoEs will also be mailed to each employee.

1. When will I be receiving my ROE?

2. What do I do with my NFC related assets (i.e. passcards, etc.)?
All NFC related assets should be returned by employees to the Burlington Head Office location as soon as possible.

3. What is WEPPA/WEPP? How do I make a claim?
The Wage Earner Protection Program (WEPP) reimburses eligible workers for unpaid wages, vacation pay, severance pay and termination pay they are owed when their employer declares bankruptcy or becomes subject to a receivership under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. The Receiver will be mailing out letters to each individual employee who may have a claim under WEPP within 45 days of the Receivership date. The letters include a proof of claim, instructions on how to fill out a proof of claim and a schedule of unpaid eligible amounts as per the Company’s books and records. You should file a proof of claim with the receiver as soon as possible. You must then apply for payment online, or in person at a Service Canada Centre.
