FTI Consulting Canada Inc. / Trion On February 20, 2026, TRION BATTERY TECHNOLOGIES INC. (the "Applicant") along with TRION Battery GmbH, Trion Battery Germany GmbH and TRION ENERGY SOLUTIONS CORP. (the "Non-Applicant Stay Parties", and collectively with the Applicant, the "Trion Group"). obtained an initial order (the "Initial Order") from the Court of King's Bench of Alberta (the "Court") commencing proceedings (the "CCAA Proceedings") under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-36, as amended (the "CCAA"). Certain of the protections provided to the Applicant by the Initial Order were extended to a number of subsidiaries. The Initial Order provides, among other things, a stay of proceedings in favour of the Trion Group and the appointment of FTI Consulting Canada Inc. as monitor of the Applicants (in such capacity, the "Monitor"). The stay has been granted for an initial 10-day period until March 2, 2026 (the "Stay Period"). On March 2, 2026, the Applicant obtained an amended and restated initial order ( "ARIO") pursuant to the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, which, in addition to the relief granted pursuant to the Initial Order of Justice L.K. Harris dated February 20, 2026 (the "Initial Order") extends the stay of proceedings to May 15, 2026, and an order approving the Sale and Investment Solicitation Process (the "SISP").
